چکیده

Abstract Background : Catheters are polymeric materials frequently used in clinics and associated with the risk of inflammation coagulation. The development bioactive catheter surfaces is worth applying because antibiotic resistance bacterial infections common. Copper (Cu) ion coordinated chitosan (Chitosan-Cu) coatings on medical catheters, several studies have recently approved its application. Objective It crucial to investigate possible cytotoxicity Chitosan-Cu surrounding cells. Methods effect complex coating, proven activities at different rates L929 cells, was examined by CCK-8 test kit. In 24 h, cell viabilities samples, Chitosan: Cu ratios 10:0, 10:1, 50:1, 100:1, were measured as 105.14%, 89.90%, 91.91%, 100.75%, respectively. 72 they 119.45%, 109.33%, 110.24%, 114.45%. surface morphology coating characterized electron microscopy, entity ions x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Conclusion Cytotoxicity assays showed that Cu, a maximum concentration 10% volume, no toxic behavior.

Sericin based bioactive coating for polyester fabric

In this study, a process has been developed for durable coating of sericin on polyester. Pre modification of polyester with alkali (sodium hydroxide) has been carried out to incorporate polar entities on its inert surface. 10g/L of sericin with 30mL/L of glutaraldehyde, cured at 130°C for 2min has been optimized for its application on modified surface. Treated samples are tested for surface smo...
